EVERSENDAI SECURES RM5.4 BLN PROJECTS COLLECTIVELY IN THREE COUNTRIES
KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- Eversendai Corporation Bhd announced the group has secured new projects worth RM5.4 billion collectively in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India.
In a statement, the group said Eversendai Engineering Saudi LLC in collaboration with Albawani Company Ltd secured the first structural steel signature building contract from NEOM for the Trojena Ski Village, NEOM’s mountain destination in KSA.
In addition, it said Eversendai Mega Structure FZ LLC secured the structural steel scope for The Wynn Al Marjan Island Integrated Resort development in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, while Eversendai in Mumbai, India secured two structural steel projects which include the Rupa IT Building and the Rupa Crystal IT Building.
Executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri A.K. Nathan said with the latest new project wins, the group’s current outstanding order book is at a record high of RM6.6 billion
“Despite going through a very challenging period in the last few years, exasperated by Covid-19 and its related impacts, Eversendai is optimistic that the group will be able to strongly rebound as a result of the record high order book which will translate in optimum utilisation of all the group’s fabrication facilities.
"These structural steel projects are highly complex, befitting Eversendai’s technical capabilities and colourful landmark track record in executing projects in 18 countries while adhering to safety, quality and timely completion,” he said.
