KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- Cyberview Sdn Bhd, via its Living Lab Accelerator programme, has invested more than RM6 million in startups to ensure viable solutions receive adequate support for commercialisation.

In a statement today, the technology hub developer of Cyberjaya said that to date, 90 startups have been nurtured, of which 70 per cent are still active and growing.

"Through this intensive five-month programme, Cyberview provides a cohort of startups with a space at Colnnov8 - the company's collaborative smart city co-working space.

"Cumulatively, the suite of benefits offered through the programme is valued at more than RM100,000 allocated for each participating startup," it said.

It added that upon completion of the programme, startups would also gain access to piloting opportunities, immediately execute go-to-market strategies, or begin sourcing additional funding from local, regional, or global investors, facilitated further by Cyberview.

"Since its inception in 2013, the programme has helped startups raise over RM252 million in total investments and recorded more than RM775 million in cumulative revenue.

“Significantly, these startups have collectively impacted the economy by creating more than 1,400 jobs. They have also become exemplary successes worth noting for incoming cohorts," it said.

Currently, the programme is supporting eight startups from its 17th cohort in their quest towards commercialisation.

"Among them are Beebag, a consumer engagement platform that collects and tracks insights while offering rewards with a sustainability twist, and Pro-Sales, an end-to-end integrated property technology (proptech) ecosystem solutions provider that looks at digitalising the entire property value chain, from construction to sales and after-sales service," it said.

Due to its location and network, Cyberview would offer startups and small and medium enterprises access to investors, government agencies, corporations, and ecosystem partners for strategic partnerships.

Meanwhile, via the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation’s (MOSTI) MYStartup initiative, the company now partners with the venture capital agency and connects startups with angel investors from the Malaysian Business Angel Network for potential funding opportunities.
