GEORGE TOWN, March 28 (Bernama) -- TT Vision Holdings Bhd (TTVHB), an inspection equipment provider in the semiconductor industry, sees good growth potential for its overseas market.

Chief executive officer Goon Koon Yin said he aims to expand its business to South Korea and the Philippines.

"These are not really new markets. South Korea has been our main market for some time. We can see better growth... one of our focus markets this year.

“This year we started to have a principal market or market that has been giving us significant contributions," he told the reporters in a press conference here today.

Goon said the company will strengthen its research and development (R&D) capabilities for better product performance.

He added that to enhance the R&D segment of the company, the company aims to increase its headcount by adding 20 (personnel) over the next two years.

“Our business very much depends on how we innovate our products as we need to compare with the competitors. To make a good product, we need to put much effort into the R&D,” he said.

TTVHB is principally involved in the development and manufacturing of machine vision equipment and the provision of related products and services.

Its 53,000 square-foot manufacturing plant in Bayan Lepas here comprises eight to ten departments with more than 130 workers.

TTVHB mainly serves mainland China, Malaysia, South Korea, the Philippines, Germany, the US, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong.
