TM ONE SANDBOX LAUNCHED, AIMS TO ACCELERATE INDUSTRY'S TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS

CYBERJAYA, March 22 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia (TM) Bhd's business-to-business arm, TM One today launched its TM One Sandbox, a platform aimed to accelerate the creation of innovative solutions to assist the industry in its technological advancements.

Located at TM Digital Academy in Multimedia University (MMU) here, the centre enables stakeholders to develop and perform live testing and service trials on an operational sandbox environment until it is ready for commercialisation.

TM One executive vice president Shazurawati Abd Karim said the platform focuses on three key components, namely providing a platform for businesses to engage with relevant stakeholders, offering innovation labs, and providing market access for the industry players.

"TM One Sandbox is not only accessible to our industry partners but also all partners in general including customers, local councils and government agencies that are looking to partake in the simulation of smart solutions for the country,” she told Bernama after the launch of the centre, here.

The key focus areas for the establishment of this centre, she said, are the smart city, smart industry, smart agriculture and smart healthcare.

According to Shazurawati, TM One Sandbox also complements the recently launched TM One 5G Sphere programme, an ecosystem of smart and digital solution enablers for enterprises in their digital transformation journey.

"Since the launch of TM One 5G Sphere, we have registered over 70 local and global partners, and with this platform, we can bring together a multiplicity of simulations and building blocks in one place to provide our partners with a different business outcome,” she added.

This platform, she said, is all about driving the scalability and awareness of digital adoption among businesses including startups that want to expand their ideas.
