Emraz expects 12,000 pilgrims to use shariah-compliant umrah financing package this year
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1 (Bernama) -- Emraz Travel & Tours, a local travel agency and Umrah and Hajj operator, expects 12,000 pilgrims to use the shariah-compliant umrah financing package through its strategic partnership with AmBank Islamic this year.
Its chief executive officer Datuk Dr Zulkarnain Endut said last year, Emraz had flown over 30,000 umrah pilgrims to the two holy cities of Islam -- Makkah and Madinah -- and the number is expected to increase to more than 41,000 umrah pilgrims this year.
“We welcome AmBank Islamic’s move to cooperate with licensed umrah agents such as Emraz in offering the first-of-its-kind financing package.
“This collaboration will provide a significant platform for Muslims to seek a cost-effective agency to reduce the financial burden of the prospective pilgrims to perform their umrah with ease and hassle-free,” Zulkarnain said in a statement today.
He said the umrah financing package was specially designed for all customers such as civil servants and selected public-listed companies.
Emraz offers umrah packages as low as RM5,990 for various packages that can be customised according to the preferences or needs of prospective pilgrims who wish to perform the umrah.
