NIKKISO CE&IG REVEALS FIRST ON-SITE TESTING AT BUSAN MARINE FACILITY
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 (Bernama) -- Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG), a part of the Nikkiso Co Ltd (Japan) group of companies, has announced its first on-site Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at its new Marine facility in Busan, Korea.
In a statement, the group said this accomplishment exemplifies its commitment to and support the growth of the Korean market.
Cryogenic Industries chief executive officer and group president, Peter Wagner said this was an important next step for the Group, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered Marine market, and an expanded benefit for its Marine customers.
“Nikkiso CE&IG will now be able to provide and test full systems and support our customers with a turnkey system solution,” he said.
With the successful completion of the test for Hapag Lloyd AG (the largest fuel gas supply system), the group demonstrated the capabilities of its factory and liquid nitrogen (LN2) test facility.
The facility continues to provide the commissioning and maintenance support previously provided. With the high pressure pumps skid fabrication and testing capabilities, full-system marine solutions will be provided to its customers.
The test is mandatory prior to skid delivery, which tests for overall performance such as pump maximum flowrate, vaporiser performance, lube-oil system, nitrogen purge system, and cryogenic valves, among others, and must be witnessed by shipowner, class society and customers to verify the product meets its performance requirements.
