RHB INVESTMENT BANK ISSUES SUBORDINATED NOTES WORTH RM100 MLN

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- RHB Bank Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, RHB Investment Bank, has issued subordinated notes of RM100 million in nominal value under its Multi Currency Medium Term Note (MCMTN) Programme. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the proceeds raised from the subordinated notes would be utilised for RHB Investment Bank’s working capital and general banking purposes.

It said the subordinated notes, rated AA2 by RAM Rating Services Bhd, were issued for a tenure of 10 non-callable five-year with a fixed coupon rate of 4.45 per cent per annum. 

It added that the subordinated notes would qualify as Tier 2 capital of RHB Investment Bank subject to compliance with the requirements as specified in the Capital Adequacy Framework for Banks (Capital Components) issued by Bank Negara Malaysia on Dec 9, 2020.
