YINSON HOLDINGS BHD’s unit Yinson GreenTech (YGT), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Yinson Green Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd, is partnering with Cyberview Sdn Bhd to develop a smart mobility ecosystem in Cyberjaya.

In a statement today, YGT said under a memorandum of understanding, both parties aim to collaborate to implement smart mobility technologies such as electrification of vehicles, autonomous vehicles, mobility-as-a-service and intelligent transport systems in Cyberjaya.

It said the collaboration leverages YGT’s position as a green technologies solution provider, in particular its ability to deliver a clean, integrated and technology-enhanced mobility ecosystem, as well as Cyberview’s position as the tech hub developer of Cyberjaya.

MALAYSIAN GENOMICS RESOURCE CENTRE BHD's (MGRC) wholly-owned subsidiary MGRC Therapeutics Sdn Bhd is collaborating with MAHSA Health Sdn Bhd to form a strategic partnership promoting practice-based education, research and knowledge exchange.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, MGRC executive director Azri Azerai said through the collaboration, the pioneer genomics and genetic screening company hopes to identify opportunities to improve the delivery of integrated, holistic primary healthcare services, including genetic screening services, to improve the lives of individuals in the long run.

“By providing industry inputs and insights to MAHSA, we hope to benefit students with the tremendous promise that various healthcare sciences have to offer for all,” he said.

DAYANG ENTERPRISE HOLDINGS BHD recorded an improved net profit of RM42.02 million for its second quarter (Q2) financial year ended Dec 31, 2022, from a net loss of RM21.89 million in the preceding year's corresponding quarter, thanks to the economy’s upwards track to recovery from the pandemic.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said its revenue jumped to RM263.41 million from RM159.69 million previously, mainly due to higher vessel utilisation at 66 per cent for Q2 as compared to 25 per cent in Q1.

“We are experiencing higher call up on work orders from our clients to better improve their production capabilities and activities from estimated call-out contracts of about RM1.74 billion.

“Barring any drastic changes to the oil price, activities are likely to continue into the next year at an elevated level,” it said.

FORMOSA PROSONIC INDUSTRIES BHD posted a net profit of RM32.55 million for its second quarter financial year ended Dec 31, 2022, from RM23.19 million in the preceding year's corresponding quarter, attributed to higher sales and foreign exchange gains.

Revenue rose to RM251.13 million, an increase of 7.7 per cent from the previous year’s corresponding quarter of RM233.18 million, mainly due to higher sales volume.

Moving forward, the group expects to achieve profitable results for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022, despite the increasing macro headwinds arising from a higher inflationary environment.

AGROBANK, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has launched the Aquaculture Entrepreneurship Incubator Programme to produce more young entrepreneurs, especially among graduates of higher education institutions.

In a statement today, Agrobank chief development officer Aminuddin Amenon said the programme has been structured by the bank’s Centre of Excellence (ACE) in collaboration with UPM’s Faculty of Agriculture,  Department of Aquaculture to provide practical exposure to graduates on entrepreneurship in the field of aquaculture. 

“In addition to the technical knowledge taught by UPM, participants will also be exposed to business knowledge, financial management and marketing knowledge.

“Participants will also be monitored and guided for six months by certified business coaches from ACE to ensure they are able to manage businesses and compete in the real market,” he said.
