ALIBABA GROUP has concluded its LiveNOW Training Programme this year, equipping 293 Malaysians across English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin sessions with fundamental skills of Key Opinion Leader  live streaming and video production to unlock potential opportunities in the interactive e-commerce sphere.

In a statement today, the group said the programme was conducted in collaboration with training partner MODEN KOL Academy, and supported by Human Resource Development Corporation, MYNIC Bhd, Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation and Penang Youth Development Corporation.

The group said the second edition of LiveNOW was a corporate social responsibility initiative, targeted primarily at individuals interested to develop a career in e-commerce live streaming or video production, and business owners who wished to leverage interactive e-commerce marketing tools to boost business growth.

PHS AUTOMOTIVE MALAYSIA and its dealer partner Goh Brothers Motor Sdn Bhd have reopened the 4S Audi Centre Setia Alam to offer sales, service, spare parts and body and paint services.

In a statement today, the group said the 60,000 square feet facility is able to accommodate 12 display units. The double-storey service centre has17 bays and is able to service 34 cars daily.

It is offering owners who have not visited the service centre in the past six months a complimentary 20-point safety diagnostic and health check worth RM300 until Aug 31, 2022.

SIME DARBY MOTORS MALAYSIA has identified locations for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations every 200 to 300 kilometres along highways across Peninsular Malaysia to ensure charging stations are easily accessible in high-density areas.

In a statement today, Sime Darby Motors said its network of chargers is available for booking via the GO TO-U digital experience platform for e-mobility application powered by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Bhd, TNBX Sdn Bhd; it is also available for non-Sime Darby Motors EV owners.

“Sime Darby Motors EV owners are eligible to receive a 10-year waiver on membership fees via the GO TO-U app worth RM2,400, in addition to special DC charging rates and free charging at AC chargers available until Dec 31, 2022,” it added.

BANK SIMPANAN NASIONAL (BSN) and the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate a special house financing outsourcing scheme for CCM staff.

In a joint statement today, they said CCM staff will be able to enjoy a 110 per cent financing margin including legal fees and appraisal fees, low financing rates and subsidies.

BSN will also provide an online platform “My Corporate Employee Scheme” to enable the application process to be carried out with only the minimum required documents and without having to make a physical visit to the bank.

AIRASIA X BHD (AAX) has redesignated Tunku Datuk Mahmood Fawzy Tunku Muhyiddin as chairman today. He was appointed as an independent non-executive director on July 1 this year, a filing with Bursa Malaysia today said. 

According to an earlier AAX statement, Tunku Mahmood Fawzy’s previous experience in various organisations and his experience as a board member in the aviation industry made him an ideal addition to the group.
