AGESON BHD has been issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd following the sharp rise in the price and volume of its shares recently.

“Investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query which will be posted on Bursa Malaysia’s website under the company announcements (section) in making their investment decision,” the market operator said in an announcement today.

Ageson has been asked to disclose any corporate development relating to business and affairs which has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity, including those in the stage of negotiation or discussion.

The company was also asked whether it was in compliance with the Bursa Securities Listing Requirements, particularly Paragraph 9.03 on immediate disclosure obligations.

BINTAI KINDEN CORPORATION BHD’s subsidiary, Johnson Medical International Sdn Bhd (JMI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Medical Renewable Care Company (MRC) to explore a collaboration on providing mechanical and engineering (M&E) solutions and services to the healthcare industry in Saudi Arabia and future expansion in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Bintai Kinden executive director, Azri Azerai said the corporation is looking to appoint MRC as JMI’s distributor in Saudi Arabia.

“We will study more on the commercial viability of providing M&E solutions and services in Dubai and the rest of the UAE that may encompass a wider market than just hospitals and pharmacies,” he said.

RESERVOIR LINK ENERGY BHD’s wholly owned subsidiary, Reservoir Link Renewable Sdn Bhd has entered into a shareholders’ agreement with Sunseap Energy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and RL Sunseap Energy Sdn Bhd to undertake the provision of solar power purchase agreement (SPPA) projects in Malaysia.

In a statement today, Reservoir Link said the primary objective and purpose of the joint venture was for the developement, building, owning and operating rooftop and ground mounted SPPAs in Malaysia.

“Both parties will leverage their respective areas of expertise to provide technical assistance related to the subsequent design, engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance of the projects,” it said.

MALAYSIA AIRLINES BHD (MAB) has been awarded the International Air Transportation Association’s (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration for the ninth time, with an immediate effect until July 2024, following the completion of stringent audits conducted by the global aviation body’s safety auditors. 

In a statement today, MAB said the IOSA renewal audit was conducted in February 2022 by a team of five auditors from Aviation Quality Services (AQS), an IATA-accredited audit organisation based in Germany.

Group chief executive officer of Malaysia Aviation Group, Captain Izham Ismail said MAB’s recertification was a testament to its commitment in achieving the highest level of safety through continuous and stringent reviews within its business operations, in line with the aviation industry’s safety and regulatory framework.

CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd have rolled out the CIMB Auto Dealer App, a mobile app which enables automotive loan or financing to be approved within one minute upon the applicant’s complete submission of required documents.

The bank said the app is the first auto financing platform of its kind in Malaysia, empowering car dealers by enabling fast, secure and seamless digital application submissions and processing for auto financing.

“In order to accelerate the rollout, CIMB has partnered with CARSOME, Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, with 15 CARSOME Experience Centres already onboarded with the CIMB Auto Dealer App to support customers on their vehicle financing needs,” it said.
