AMBANK NOT DISPOSING INTERESTS IN AMINVEST
KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- Financial services group AmBank Group has clarified that it is not in talk with any parties pertaining to the disposal of its interest in its asset management unit, AmInvest.
“The AmBank Group would like to clarify in relation to recent media reports that it is presently not in any discussions with any parties pertaining to disposal of its interest in AmInvest.
“Should there be any pertinent announcements to be made, we will do so in accordance to listing requirements,” it said in a statement today.
It was reported that AMMB Holdings Bhd is planning to sell AmInvest for US$300 million (US$1=RM4.45) and the banking group has been approached by industry players and private equity firms on the matter.
