CARSOME, Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, has announced the expansion of its regional headquarters in Malaysia.

The expanded headquarters occupies a total of 41,860 square feet of space, spread across four storeys at KYM Tower in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, to house over 560 employees. 

Onward from the expansion, it will double up its local investment and is committed to developing, attracting and retaining talents with different areas of specialisation, the company said in a statement today.

NCT GROUP OF COMPANIES has entered into five strategic partnerships in gearing up for its upcoming Selangor Smart Industrial Park (SSIP) project.

The property developer said the memorandum of understanding was signed between NCT Group and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Furniweb Holdings Ltd, KS Industrial Tools Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Solarvest Holdings Bhd, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.

The group’s founder and managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy said the partnerships forged are testament to its commitment to providing the best facilities at SSIP to boost efficiency and maintain a sustainable and resilient eco-friendly ecosystem.

The company said the partnerships are aimed to support its vision of offering the highest standards of services to create a sustainable, efficient and productive working environment.

PAN MALAYSIA CORP BHD (PMC) has signed a loan agreement with its 51 per cent-owned subsidiary A&W (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the provision of financial assistance in the form of a shareholders’ loan facility of RM5 million to A&W Malaysia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the financial assistance will allow the company to earn a better rate of return for its surplus funds during the tenure of the loan. 

The terms of the loan facility are within 60 months from the date of drawdown of the loan amount. 

The provision of financial assistance by PMC is fully financed from internally-generated funds.

CATCHA DIGITAL BHD, a Bursa Malaysia listed entity controlled by internet entrepreneur Patrick Grove, has received shareholders’ approval for its Regularisation Plan. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said upon the completion of the Regularisation Plan, the company will have its GN2 status lifted and will begin to execute its strategic plan in the digital media industry.

The Regularisation Plan will involve the acquisition of the entire equity interest of iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd, an integrated digital media solution provider, with 12.7 million users visiting its websites and social media platforms in June 2022. 

The iMedia Group recorded over 100 per cent year-on-year growth in profit before tax from the financial year (FY) end of 2019 to FY2021.

MPI GENERALI INSURANS BHD has become the first insurer in Malaysia to introduce a free car pickup and dropoff (PnD) service to its existing motor insurance policyholders with a sum insured of RM50,000 and above.

In a statement, MPI Generali said the service is a joint initiative with Europ Assistance, the assistance company of the Generali Group. 

“We foresee that this service will have a positive impact on our revenue targets, as we aim to grow by 20 per cent within a year,” said MPI Generali chief executive officer K. G. Krishnamoorthy Rao.

The PnD facility covers the logistics handling of the car for a range of services, from regular car servicing, a car wash or polish and minor accident fixing, for an unlimited number of times per year.
