Bina Darulaman appoints Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain as acting President, Group CEO

ALOR SETAR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB), a subsidiary of the Kedah State Development Corporation, has appointed Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain Ramli as acting president and group chief executive officer effective today.

The property development and construction group said Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain, 38, joined BDB in 2014 as head of group corporate planning and enterprise risk management.

He played a key role leading, monitoring and coordinating the integrated business viability of the group’s business strategy, assess the risks of new business opportunities such as commercial development, land development and corporate exercises and its execution, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain was later appointed as chief operating officer in 2018 and his primary role was to lead all subsidiaries on operational matters, with a focus on strategy and to lead the company's turnaround.

Subsequently, in October 2020, he was appointed as executive vice president I cum chief corporate officer.

Prior to joining BDB, Mohd Iskandar Dzulkarnain had served numerous companies including Khazanah Nasional Bhd, Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd and Sapuracrest Petroleum Bhd.

His experience includes a broad range of strategic risk management, including in key projects such as the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park, Kuantan Port expansion and the special water project restructuring programme.

In a separate filing, BDB also announced that its board of directors had on July 17, 2022, approved the tenure of executive chairman Che Had Dhali for another three months effective from July 15, 2022.
