Ford's sole distributor in Malaysia, SIME DARBY AUTO CONNEXION (SDAC), has been conferred two President's Awards by US auto maker for achieving the highest customer satisfaction scores in both sales and service among the distributor markets across various regions.

“The prestigious awards are recognition of SDAC’s achievements as one of the very best Ford distributor and dealer organisations in the world,” it said. 

The President’s Award is the top distinction in Ford’s annual rewards and recognition  programme designed to acknowledge its distributor partners for delivering outstanding customer experience and operations.



TACO BELL will be opening its first restaurant beyond the Klang Valley in Nilai Square, Seremban, followed by AEON Bukit Tinggi in Klang, and a flagship restaurant in Setia City Mall, Shah Alam. 

Taco Bell Malaysia’s franchise operator Harris Beh said in a statement today that the world’s leading Mexican-inspired restaurant chain has been well-received since the opening of its first outlet in Cyberjaya in April 2021.

The chain opened its tenth restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur today. Taco Bell Corp is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc.



STOREHUB, an omnichannel digital solutions provider for restaurants and retail stores, has expanded its offering by catering to more restaurant operational flows with QR Order & Pay Later and QR Order & Pay At Counter solutions.

In a statement today, it said the new features were "crucial" because dining-in has resumed.

The new features enable customers to view a restaurant’s menu, order their meal and add on dishes in between and make payment after finishing the meal. Another new feature allows diners to pay over the counter using cash.

Merchants who have been utilising Storehub’s QR Order & Pay could activate the new features via StoreHub’s BackOffice platform to toggle on the features in the store set-up section, the statement said.




AMINVEST has won the Malaysia’s Fund House of the Year at the AsianInvestor Asset Management Awards 2022, and Malaysia’s Insurance Fund House of the Year for the fifth consecutive year at the InsuranceAsia News Institutional Asset Management Awards 2022.

AmBank group chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said the recognition were testament to over forty years managing funds, a release from AmInvest said today.

AsianInvestor, a Hong Kong publication on asset management industry, conferred the Fund House of the Year award based on the group's business growth, client coverage, and product offerings, the statement said.

The group won the Insurance Fund House of the Year category for its best practices, services and performance in managing its insurance clients’ assets in the Malaysian market over the last year.



The EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND (EPF) has announced 22 winners for the EPF External Fund Managers Awards 2021 in recognition of their performance managing EPF’s portfolios in 2021. 

A total of RM167.63 billion were outsourced to external fund managers, representing an increase of eight per cent as at Dec 31 2021 compared with RM155.18 billion at the end of 2020, the statement today said.

“This allocation, invested across both equity and fixed income instruments, represented 16.66 per cent of the EPF’s total investment assets,” the statement said.

EPF chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir said EPF would continue with its diversification strategy and leverage the insights and skill sets of external fund managers to complement EPF’s own internal fund management capabilities.
