MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL RETAIL AND FRANCHISE (MIRF) 2022 will continue to uphold its position as Malaysia’s largest retail and franchise exhibition with over 400 booths, including from 15 participating countries, from July 14-16, 2022.

Themed “Retail & Franchise: REBOOT”, the event, which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, signifies MIRF as a platform for retail and franchise businesses to regain market attraction and acceptance, event organiser Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) said in a statement today.

MIRF 2022 will see booths from Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Sri Lanka, as well as a section to promote halal products.

The last MIRF in 2019 transacted with 350 booths and over RM80 million in business revenue with a record of over 12,000 visitors.

BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BHD has announced the transfer of Reservoir Link Energy’s securities from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Securities under the “Energy” sector, at 9 am on June 27, 2022.

SINMAH CAPITAL BHD’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Sinmah Properties Sdn Bhd (SPSB), has entered into a joint venture agreement with the Kuala Lumpur Football Association to develop a plot of land in Setapak measuring 15,929 sq metres into a mixed development.

The agreement stipulates that SPSB will complete the project within five years, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

“The project represents an opportunity for the company to further capitalise on its experience and expertise in property development to develop the land.

“This bodes well with the company’s strategy to grow its property development segment either through the acquisition of land bank or joint ventures with landowners,” SPSB said.

BIOALPHA HOLDINGS BHD said that Suzhou Medicalsystems Technology (SMT) has agreed to invest six million renminbi (RMB) into a joint venture (JV) partnership for working capital.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the JV will utilise four key proprietary formulations to produce supplements that will cater for immunity boosters, general well-being and anti-ageing requirements.

At a later stage, subject to the success of the JV partnership, Bioalpha will introduce more proprietary formulations to deliver further health enhancement products ranging from supplements that promote longevity to those that assist with menopausal effects.

SMT has a market capitalisation of four billion (RMB).
