KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- Invest Selangor Bhd is targeting to showcase 30 static display aircraft comprising business private jets, helicopters, light aircraft, and drones for its upcoming Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2022 in September.
Chief executive officer Datuk Hasan Azhari Idris said the second installation of the one and only business aviation show in the Asian region would be hosted on a bigger scale than that of last year, housing more than 70 booths with over 38,000 square metres of exhibition area spanning two hangers at the Subang SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre.
He said the event would serve as a great venue for aviation industry players to recover post-pandemic and play a pivotal role in bridging the ultimate platform for aerospace industry players to network and explore potential investment and partners, both globally and domestically.
“This is the opportunity for industry players to network with other industry peers from other regions to promote their products and services.
“It’s not only for those providing or selling aircraft but also for those providing services such as consultancy, training, catering, interior design for jets,” he said as a guest speaker on Bernama TV’s “The Nation” programme on SAS 2022 today.
The SAS 2022 will take place over three days from Sept 8, focusing on business aviation. It is open to the public on the last day for free via online registration.
Hasan said the 2022 edition is expected to welcome a bigger international crowd ranging from exhibitors and buyers to visitors in view of eased travel restrictions.
“We had six countries participated last year. We are expecting 10 participating countries for this year,” he added.
Last year, the Selangor Aviation Show showcased 18 static display aircraft with 47 booths, drawing more than 5,000 visitors.
