Global recruitment agency RANDSTAD has promoted Fahad Naeem to country director at Randstad Malaysia from his previous position as head of operations.

    In a statement today, Fahad said he is looking forward to building a bigger client and talent network and leveraging the company's world-class human resources (HR) technology to continue delivering an exceptional experience for Malaysia’s businesses and workforce.

"In the coming years, we’ll be expanding our workforce solutions to include end-to-end talent contracting services," he said.

Fahad joined Randstad in 2012 during the agency's early days in Malaysia. He returned in 2018 in a strategic and ambitious move to grow and deepen the company's technology recruitment capabilities.

Digital financing platform FUNDING SOCIETIES has introduced its Shariah-compliant trade financing solutions based on Commodity Murabahah (Tawarruq) arrangement for creditworthy and underserved Malaysian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) via Islamic FinTech (iFinTech) facilities.

In a statement today, it  is offering trade financing solutions to help grow businesses or expand working capital as the country reopens its economic sectors.

The statement said Shariah-compliant financing complements Funding Societies’ existing range of financing products to serve all segments, vintages, and sizes, including those operating in the halal industry.

It also said that iFinTech is growing briskly despite concerns of global economic slowdown following general sluggish markets and cautious consumer sentiments in US as well as Southeast Asian economies like Malaysia and Singapore.

SCANIA (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD (Scania) has delivered two coaches to the Federal Land Development Authority's (FELDA) Semai Bakti Hostel Kuala Lumpur and its Maktab Rendah Sains MARA, Trolak, Perak.

In a statement today, it said the coaches come with five-year maintenance plan, three years of extended warranty and Fleet Management System Control 10.

The corporate social responsibility handover is to facilitate the daily shuttling of the growing number of students in both educational facilities, it said.

HEALTH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD (DoctorOnCall) has partnered the Malaysian Muslim Doctors Association, or Pertubuhan Doktor–Doktor Islam Malaysia (PERDIM), to give members access to list their services on the DoctorOnCall platform.

The platform offers a database of healthcare products and services across Malaysia and PERDIM  members can tap into the broader telemedicine and digital health customer base.

Patients will also be able to receive timely and urgent care that is cost and time-effective while at the same time, avoid overcrowding in healthcare facilities, the statement said.

Integrated construction engineering group VIZIONE HOLDINGS BHD (Vizione) will enhance operational efficiency and procurement issues by proactively managing rising raw materials cost, the company said in a statement after its annual general meeting today.

“We are mindful of the ongoing challenges such as supply chain disruptions, higher raw materials and commodity prices affecting the construction sector," said managing director Datuk Ng Aun Hooi.

The statement said the group has a strong and experienced team and a strong balance sheet and that it is not “resting on our laurels” but pursuing new opportunities as various economic sectors reopen.
