KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 (Bernama) -- Computer company Acer will focus on three main segments this year, namely lifestyle products, gaming notebooks, and green devices as the established Taiwanese information technology brand continues to be competitive in the market.

Acer Pan Asia Pacific president Andrew Hou said the hardware technology company introduced its new gaming notebook, the 'Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs', which comes with stereoscopic 3D images, during yesterday's global press conference.

"With our latest gaming notebook, users can now experience playing games in 3D and they would be amazed by its other special features," he said in a virtual interview on YouTube live today.

The company will introduce more lifestyle products under its Acerpure brand, particularly water purifiers in July this year.

"Acerpure was successfully launched two years ago and since then we have been receiving good results from the segment. For example, our air purifier, the 'Acerpure Cool AC551 series', won the best design in the iF Product Design Award 2022 and Taiwan Excellent 2022," he added.

Acer aims to sell more of its green products in  Southeast Asia, such as green PCs, to help protect the environment.

Hou also revealed in the interview that Acer will be hosting its first offline game tournament - the APAC Predator League 2022 - in Japan since the outbreak of the pandemic.
