Marine transport and port services provider E.A. TECHNIQUE (M) BHD has sold its vessel Nautica Renggam to South Korean shipping company C&M Co Ltd for US$5.05 million (RM21.39 million) cash to dispose of non-income generating assets and to raise funds for working capital.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, it said the proposed disposal is not expected to result in the company becoming a cash company under the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia as it has been classified as a Practice Note 17 Company on Feb 25, 2022.

It also noted that the net book value of the oil and chemical tanker as at March 31, 2021 was approximately RM18.40 million, with a RM1.13 million estimated gain from the transaction.

CIMB PRIVATE BANKING has been awarded as the Best Domestic Private Bank for the third consecutive year and Best for Mass Affluence/HNW in Malaysia at the annual Asiamoney Asia Private Banking Awards 2022.

In a statement today, CIMB said that despite the ongoing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, CIMB Private Banking saw impressive asset growth.

HONDA MALAYSIA has introduced two new colours, Ignite Red Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic, for its Bold Runabout Vehicle (BR-V) series, replacing Passion Red Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic respectively.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Hironobu Yoshimura said the new colours were well received in the hatch-backs and sedans and it wants to expand this to their full 7-seater crossover,  the BR-V. 

“The Ignite Red Metallic elevates the attractiveness and bold appearance of the BR-V, while the Meteoroid Gray Metallic enhances its rugged look,” he said in a statement today.

Since its June 2020 launch, it has sold more than 5,700 units of BR-V as at April 2022.

1337 Ventures Sdn Bhd and Leet Capital have introduced the ECF Accelerator Programme, a fundraising bootcamp to cultivate business founders to be prepared and well-rounded to raise funds via equity crowdfunding (ECF).

In a statement today, 1337 Ventures said the bootcamp concluded recently participated by QueueMed.Asia, Reams Technology, Unearth, Playfit and APR Electronic Services.

Topics covered during the four-week programme include how to conduct business valuations, types of legal instruments required to raise ECF, types of grants available and what constitutes a good media story, it said.

MALAYSIA DIGITAL ECONOMY CORPORATION (MDEC) has launched the Digital Content Creators Challenge (DC3) for 2022, a competition-based programme to assist content creators to develop and produce  quality digital content and to increase the creation of intellectual properties (IPs).

In a statement today, MDEC said DC3 2022 winners will receive a prize money to develop their proposed digital creative content supported by industry experts through a mentorship programme to provide the necessary catalysts for local talents to penetrate the local and global markets.
