KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) -- Expo 2020 Dubai has served as an avenue for Malaysian companies to expand their horizon through the signing of instruments of cooperation with foreign companies during the world expo, in various sectors such as healthcare, food products, and energy.

Senior Minister and International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali commended the Malaysia Pavilion’s accomplishment in generating potential value for trade, investment and business leads worth more than RM70 billion in the 26 weekly programmes at the expo, as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The senior minister was one of the members of the Prime Minister’s delegation during its official visit to the Malaysia Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai, which began on Oct 1, 2021, and ends tomorrow.

"The next World Expo will be held in Osaka in 2025. Given that the World Expo is a prestigious event, Malaysia will continue to participate in future expos, including Expo 2025 Osaka.

"MITI as the lead ministry for Malaysia’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka will spare no effort in ensuring that our participation in the next World Expo will achieve its objectives. Looking forward to another successful World Expo for Malaysia!," he said on Twitter.

Expo 2020 Dubai was held for six months, beginning October 2021 until March 31, 2022.
