JAKARTA, March 22 (Bernama) -- A new version of the ASEAN SME Academy -- an e-learning platform for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the region -- will be unveiled next month, according to ASEAN Secretariat.
The platform aims to improve accessibility and enhance learning experience by offering more online courses and customised capacity-building programmes needed for MSMEs to recover stronger from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
ASEAN Coordinating Committee on MSME, the United States (US) Agency for International Development and the US-ASEAN Business Council will carry out the redesign process, the secretariat said in a statement today.
Launched in 2016, the academy is managed by the ASEAN Coordinating Committee MSME under the leadership of the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry's Bureau of SME Development.
The academy contributes to the implementation of the ASEAN Strategic Action Plan for SME Development 2016–2025 which aims to create globally competitive MSMEs.
