Bank Rakyat offers cash back to its Credit Card-i users via Petrol Khamis campaign

19/01/2022 11:53 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 -- Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Rakyat) offers a 5.0 per cent cash back through the Petrol Khamis campaign to customers who use its Credit Card-i for every transaction for the purchase of petrol and other items at all petrol stations nationwide.

Chief executive officer Datuk Syed Abdul Aziz Syed Hassan said Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i holders can enjoy this offer every Thursday from Jan 13 to May 5.

“More interestingly, for every transaction made, there is no minimum spending required to enjoy the benefits of this cashback as the more you spend, the more cashback awaits you. However, purchases made at the petrol kiosks must be for shariah-compliant items.

"Participation for this campaign is automatic and no registration is required, all cashback will be credited on the next monthly statement cycle and cashback benefits are unlimited. No monthly limit is imposed during the campaign period," he said in a statement today.

Syed Abdul said the campaign concurred with the 'Keluarga Malaysia' concept introduced by the government which symbolises Bank Rakyat's commitment and concern in easing the financial burden of the people, especially those affected by the recent floods.

“Hopefully, this campaign can to some extent reduce the daily expenses of those who had to incur contingency expenses to recover from the floods to buy appliances and daily necessities, including for home and vehicle repairs, " he said.
