KUCHING, Jan 18 -- The Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) Project Management System (RPMS) has won the International Innovation Awards (IIA) 2021, a recognition award for outstanding innovation organised by Enterprise Asia.

The award was announced in a virtual ceremony held in Singapore on Dec 9  and a symbolic ceremony was held today where RECODA chief executive officer Datuk Ismawi Ismuni handed over the award to Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also RECODA chairman.

“The regional recognition award saw RECODA contending against more than 160 other nominees, across 30 countries involving 24 industries,” RECODA said in a statement.

The innovation was also certified with InnoMark, an international certification that recognises outstanding innovation through stringent criteria.

The RPMS is a cloud-based interactive digital project information and monitoring dashboard system for managing current progress and health status of ongoing projects.

It disseminates vital information for progress reporting and project health status, which enabled the stakeholders to make informed decisions.

“RPMS makes it possible to track and monitor the current project progress status on site instantly, without having to physically being present on site, all within fingertips through mobile devices,” said the statement.

Conceptual stage of the RPMS started in 2019 before the actual development started in July last year.

RECODA is a statutory body set up in 2006 to oversee and manage the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).
