BEYOND4 AIMS TO RAISE RM2.5 MLN TO ACCELERATE DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17  -- Beyond4 Sdn Bhd, an integrated digital ecosystem accelerator startup, aims to raise an initial investment capital of RM2.5 million through its first Beyond4 Ecosystem Crowdfunding in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Hong Leong Exchange (HLX), Malaysia's first innovation exchange by Guocoland Malaysia Bhd. 

Beyond4 chief executive officer S.T. Rubaneswaran said the funds raised would be utilised to grow the digital ecosystem faster which includes the establishment of its training digital hubs in the country as well as create mentors and talents for startup programmes. 

He said the company plans to invest up to RM5 million, where it aims to execute its ambitious project of creating 5,000 technology savvy Malaysians and create 50 start-ups that will be contributors to the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint. 

“We are confident of succeeding because we can provide an end-to-end ecosystem designed to accelerate the 5,000 specialised talents and 50 startups in 36 months.

“Our solution to solve the nation’s problem is a multi-vertical education, skills, career, innovation and start-up accelerators that are augmented by a talent funnel infrastructure.

"This Beyond4 for technology ecosystem is the first of its model that digitally integrates platforms," Rubaneswaran told Bernama. 

He said Beyond4 hopes to make Southeast Asia a global powerhouse for start-ups with integrated ecosystem hubs across Malaysia, spanning eight verticals.

This includes Digital Arts 4.0, Manufacturing 4.0, Fintech 4.0, Global Business Solutions (GBS) 4.0, EdTech 4.0, Agtech 4.0, FoodTech 4.0, and HealthTech 4.0.

The multi-vertical solution serves industry players through education opportunities, upskilling and training programmes, deployment opportunities as well as innovation and start-up acceleration. 

The company has established its Beyond4@HLX in Kuala Lumpur which focuses on accelerators such as education, skills, career, innovation and startups, and Beyond4@WCOE in Penang which focuses on manufacturing.

"We will establish the third hub in Melaka that will focus on culinary and hospitality (FoodTech) by the next quarter (in 2022).

“All our hubs are in partnership with industry players, MDEC and the respective state governments where we are in," he said, adding that it is also planning to have other hubs in Pahang, Perak and Johor.
