KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 -- Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has executed a term sheet with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) for fiber leasing services.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, TM said the term sheet covers 5G Radio Access Network (RAN)-to-Edge Fronthaul and Backhaul as a single end-to-end fiber leasing offering with a total contract value of RM2.0 billion over 10 years, which are categorised as a commercial service.
The term sheet is binding on the parties and shall form the basis of a definitive agreement for the respective services.
“Upon the signing of the term sheet, both parties shall immediately enter into a negotiation with a view to finalise and execute the definitive agreement on detailed terms mutually acceptable to both within four months,” TM said.
The term sheet signed today shall take effect from Aug 28, 2021, and remain valid and effective until the expiry of the 10 years service term of the last commissioned cell site unless earlier terminated by the parties.
TM said under the term sheet, it will provide the services to enable DNB’s 5G infrastructure needs in supporting the government’s aspiration to speed up the 5G rollout in Malaysia.
