EDARAN BHD’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Edaran IT Services Sdn Bhd has been awarded a contract from Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia to undertake maintenance work for hardware, server software and the application of "Sistem Maklumat Kastam" (SMK), “Sistem Sales And Service Tax (MySST)” and “Sistem Tourism Tax” (MyTTX).

The contract is for a period of 12 months beginning Sept 1, 2021, at a total value of RM41.34 million, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

“Proceeds from the contract shall contribute towards the earnings of Edaran Group for the financial year ending June 30, 2022,” it said.

BOUSTEAD HOLDINGS BHD has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Hive Southeast Asia General Partner Limited and Aimcloud Sdn Bhd to provide the framework for any future binding agreement regarding the collaboration agreement between Boustead Digital Services Sdn Bhd, HIVE SEA and Aimcloud.

Boustead Digital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boustead Holdings.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Boustead Holdings said the primary purpose of the MoU is to record the understanding of the parties and to provide the platform and governance for the pooling of resources and expertise in achieving the co-creation of a seed company.

“The duration of the MoU is one year effective from the date of signing unless mutually agreed otherwise by the parties. Each party will bear its own costs and expenses in relation to the MoU, unless mutually decided otherwise by the parties,” it said.

ALPHA OCEAN RESOURCES BHD has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with J Value Sdn Bhd to establish cooperation and collaboration for the purpose of promoting the development of an International Tuna Port in Malaysia and marketing of Alpha Ocean’s products in Japan.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Alpha Ocean said the MoU will be effective for a period of one year from the date of the MoU or such other date as the parties may mutually agree in writing during which Alpha Ocean and J Value will execute the definitive agreement.

“Either party may terminate the MoU at any time by giving a minimum of 30 days prior written notice to the other party,” it said.

ASIA MEDIA GROUP BHD (AMEDIA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Setia Media Sdn Bhd (SMEDIA) to explore potential collaboration opportunities together. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, AMEDIA said the MoU will provide the parties an opportunity to explore and establish collaboration based on the respective party’s strength and forte in the static and digital out-of-home (OOH) advertising industry.

“AMEDIA is targeting to expand its digital advertising services to the out-of-home market segment.

“It is the intention of the board to explore business opportunities with SMEDIA, which is mainly engaged in billboard rental and providing static and digital advertising, with the objective of paving a quicker access for AMEDIA to venture into the out-of-home market segment,” it said.

PICKUPP, the Asia tech startup redefining logistics, has raised US$37 million (US$1=RM4.22) in Series B funding, its third fundraiser in less than 13 months, following its initial Series A round in November 2020, and Series A+ round in July 2021.

In a statement today, it said in total, the company has accumulated US$52 million through the rounds of funding.

“The funding will be used to deepen Pickupp’s presence in the Southeast Asia markets including Malaysia, as well as to strengthen Pickupp’s regional logistics network infrastructure so the company is better positioned to propel continued growth in Quick commerce and e-commerce,” it said.
