SHARP MALAYSIA'S NEW PRODUCTS DESIGNED FOR THE NEW NORMAL

SHAH ALAM, Dec 1  -- Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Sharp Malaysia) has introduced a range of products to be launched in 2022 that offer practical solutions to improve the quality of life for everyone in the new normal.

Sharp Malaysia managing director Ting Yang Chung said the COVID-19 pandemic has led to many significant changes in the way how people live, learn and work.

“We will remain focused on our efforts to continue providing solutions that will help Malaysians remain at home comfortably and achieve a higher level of productivity at work.

“Sharp is committed to leveraging our research and development capabilities to incorporate innovative technologies in our products in line with our vision ‘Be Original’,” he told reporters at Sharp Malaysia Media Experiential Living Showcase Tour here today. 

Ting said some of the new products include the industry-leading AQUOS The Scenes 4K Television (TV) and also the 8K TV series.

The 4K series comes with the latest Deep Chroma Display Pro technology that offers a true-to-life visual experience and Android 11 compatible features for all gaming devices.

He also said their flagship audio product AQUOS The Scene 8K TV is for those who seek a cinematic experience from the comfort of their home which features an 8K ultra-high definition and high dynamic range (HDR) enhanced+ processor.

“Sharp also unveiled its kitchen appliances with the Sharp Mega Freezer Pelican that delivers plenty of storage capacity for consumers to store more food while keeping them fresh, while Sharp’s new microwave units come with ceramic flatbed and wide interior for easy usage and cleaning.

“We also unveiled the award-winning Sharp Pro-Flex front load washer dryer that leverages plasmacluster ion (PCI) technology in eliminating bacteria as the machine dry air wash mode enables quick dry wash to kill germs, viruses and remove odour,” Ting said.

In addition, the Sharp Plasmacluster Air Purifier has been proven to improve air quality and demonstrated effectiveness in reducing airborne novel coronavirus by 91.3 per cent, he said, adding that the portable Plasmacluster Ion Generator is suitable for travelling and those on the go.

Meanwhile, to make sure a safe and productive environment at work, Ting said Sharp Malaysia has designed the all-new Aquos Touch TV DR1X Series.

“It has an ingenious combination of a projector, laptop and whiteboard which enables efficient and seamless hybrid or remote working,” said Ting.

In addition, he said Sharp also designed its very own personal safety gear.

“Made in Japan, the Sharp face shield and eyeshield are designed to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and minimise reflection and eliminate fog.

“Also introduced is the company range of Dynabook lightweight laptop for better mobility and performance,” Ting said.

Apart from the focus on producing home appliances, Sharp also introduced the Cocoro Life loyalty system, a complete ecosystem of service and e-commerce platform to deliver true artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled experiences for customers and businesses.

He said the service can be accessed via mobile apps downloadable from Google Play and Apple Apps Store.
