KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 -- Mercato, a supermarket under GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has opened its fifth store at the Great Eastern Mall with thousands of new products to excite and delight customers with an even wider range of local and international products from bakery to general merchandise.
Director of Store Operations for Malaysia and Singapore Mark Scates said at Mercato Great Eastern Mall, customers can look forward to a new level of shopping experience and service from the team members.
“We listened closely to our customers’ needs for more imported, curated products as well as a premium experience, and stepped up with the opening of Mercato Great Eastern Mall.
"We are truly grateful to our customers for allowing us to serve the community. None of our achievements would have been possible without their unwavering support,” he said during a question-and-answer session at the store here, today.
Scates said the store is now more spacious with a broader range of products to choose and shop and it may also extend to home delivery in the future.
“More than 2,000 items are added to the store and we have also expanded the range of bakery products, household products, wet food, and more for a better experience and convenience of our customers.
"We have improved and added more than 200 types of organic items, as well as doubled the size of our seafood counter that includes local seafood as well as imported fresh seafood," he said.
With Malaysians becoming more health-conscious with their eating habits, Mercato will be collaborating with Rawsome healthy food chain on a Do-It-Yourself Salad Bar with better freshness and healthier choices.
In addition, Mercato will be also introducing a new nut roasting machine and a new health drink - Kombucha-Keju.
