PESONA METRO WINS KAJANG PROJECT CONTRACT WORTH RM297.58 MLN
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 -- Pesona Metro Holdings Bhd (PMHB) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd has today accepted a letter of award from Panasonic Homes MKH Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the execution and completion of the main contract works worth RM297.58 million.
The main contract works involve mixed development of 1,496 units at four serviced apartment blocks at Seksyen 10, Kajang, Selangor.
The project is for a duration of 122 weeks commencing from the date of site possession.
“The directors are of the opinion that the project is in the best interest of the group after considering, among others, the potential financial contribution to the earnings of the group,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The company said the award of the project will not have any impact on the paid-up capital of the company. However, it is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and enhance the net assets of the group during the duration of the project.
The company said the project will be funded via a combination of internally generated funds and short-term project financing facilities from financial institutions, the quantum of which has yet to be determined at this juncture.
“Accordingly, the effect on the gearing of the group cannot be ascertained at this juncture,” it added.
