MALAYSIA PRODUCTIVITY CORPORATION (MPC) and the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) have launched Digital Solution Directory to facilitate matching the digital solution providers with industry players, especially from the professional services, retail, food and beverages as well as tourism sub-sectors.

In a statement today, MPC chairman Ram Ganesan Karthigasu said Digital Solution Directory is a reference on digital technology solutions for the industry players to help them in their digital transformation journey.

Meanwhile, PIKOM chairman Danny Lee said PIKOM, together with Digital Productivity Nexus, has gone through a great deal of thought into producing a directory, ensuring that it is useful and relevant to see micro, small and medium entreprises grow their businesses as well as create wider market reach and become more competitive.

YAYASAN PENERAJU PENDIDIKAN BUMIPUTERA (Yayasan Peneraju) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) to collaborate in paving the way for more Bumiputera talents to become chartered bankers.

In a statement today, it said under the partnership, both parties have agreed to develop a sustainable pipeline of Bumiputera chartered bankers through the Peneraju Profesional Chartered Banker programme.

To date, 25 scholars have been enrolled under the programme.

PCG PCC OXYALKYLATES SDN BHD, a joint venture company between Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd and PCC SE, has reached a new milestone with a project for a new production facility for specialty oxyalkylates in Terengganu called OXY.my.

In a statement today, it said the commercial operation is targeted to start in the third quarter of 2023.

It added that as one of the most technologically enhanced oxyalkylates plants in an ASEAN country, the facility would consist of two production trains at the same production site at Kertih Integrated Petrochemical Complex (KIPC), Terengganu.

MYEG SERVICES BHD has entered into a memorandum of understanding with A Tech Insure Sdn Bhd (A Tech) to provide Malaysian civil servants with a platform to purchase motor vehicle takaful coverage together with road tax renewal.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the takaful coverage and road tax renewal are by way of an interest free Shariah compliant Qard loan facility that would enable instalment payments via a salary deduction plan of up to 10 months.

It added that the MOU is expected to contribute positively to the earnings per share and net asset per share of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021 onwards upon formalisation of a collaboration arrangement with A Tech.

MICROLINK SYSTEMS SDN BHD, a subsidiary of Microlink Solutions Bhd has secured a key project from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Malaysia namely Open System Development Services and Technical Support for Automatic Awareness Security System (AwAS) worth RM35.1 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the new system would be integrated with the existing camera network, various JPJ systems including the Vehicle Information and Driver System (mySIKAP) and Road Charge and Vehicle Entry Permit System as well as external systems including POS Malaysia.

It added that the scope of work spanned requirement specification, design, development and security protocols for the core and supporting modules of the open system as well as mobile applications.
