TECHNA-X BAGS TECH DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT CONTRACT WORTH RM50.8 MLN
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 -- Techna-X Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary TouchPoint International Sdn Bhd has been awarded a two-year technology development and support contract from SHT Engineering Sdn Bhd (SHT) worth RM50.8 million.
TouchPoint will develop, implement and support an analytics-enabled public safety and security system, incorporating the latest on Internet of Things (IoT)-powered computing mobile devices, geographic information system (GIS) software components as well as professional engineering services.
Executive chairman Tunku Naquiyuddin Tuanku Ja’afar said the contract from SHT was a significant win for Touchpoint and Techna-X Group.
"With the development of our own proprietary systems and interface, we foresee greater business opportunities in the near future and possibly capturing relevant public and private sector projects alike, particularly, in the areas of technology solutions for law enforcement, safety and security sectors," he said in a statement.
Techna-X executive director Datuk Jared Lim said the company intends to leverage its presence in the public safety and security industry by offering IoT, data analytics, and AI solutions via its other digital transformation subsidiaries to provide further value add to its solutions in its partnership with SHT.
"In this age of real-time analytics and high data availability, our proven expertise enables us to aggregate the various advanced technologies into an integrated solution that maximises the use of digital information," he said.
