HONOR MALAYSIA APPOINTS TM ONE AS CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDER

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 -- HONOR Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HONOR Tech) has appointed Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE as its cloud service provider to serve customers across three continents, namely, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

HONOR Tech, one of the leading global providers of smart devices, will adopt TM ONE’s cloud solution, TM ONE α Edge (pronounced as Alpha Edge), equipped to deliver the required flexibility to scale effectively for any unprecedented demands in traffic or business challenges.

In a joint statement today, the parties said the strategic alliance signals a major stride forward into the wider e-commerce market, with greater scalability, security, stability and speed.

TM ONE executive vice-president Shazurawati Abd Karim said the partnership marks another important growth milestone in strengthening Malaysia’s position on the global front as a preferred digital destination and business hub.

Currently, HONOR Tech has more than 3,000 service centres, with more than 2,000 call centre representatives and close to 8,000 employees globally to provide premium and efficient services to consumers in over 100 markets.

TM ONE α Edge offers artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, resource monitoring and identity access management, as well as advanced security tools and cybersecurity support, with a dedicated 24/7 technical team.

It is part of TM ONE Cloud α that has been designed to provide seamless migration of critical workloads to the cloud, quickly, easily, cost-effectively and without constraints.
