YINSON HOLDINGS BHD (Yinson), through its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Yinson Renewables Pte Ltd, has signed a collaboration agreement with Plus Xnergy Services Sdn Bhd (PXS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Plus Xnergy Holding Sdn Bhd (Plus Xnergy), to jointly invest and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects within and beyond Malaysia.

In a statement today, it said focusing primarily on commercial and industrial rooftop solar PV projects, Yinson and Plus Xnergy aim to build an asset portfolio of up to 250 megawatts (MW) within the next three years.

“According to reports from Fitch Solutions, the installed solar capacity within Malaysia is projected to expand from around 996MW in 2020 to more than 4GW by 2030.

“This presents an enormous growth opportunity for Yinson and Plus Xnergy to participate in the regional energy transition by adding value across the renewable energy value chain, providing benefits for the national economy as a whole,” Yinson group chief executive officer, Lim Chern Yuan said.




AGODA’S Return to Travel Survey has revealed that seeing family and friends, not wearing a mask and unsurprisingly, travelling is among the activities that Malaysians are most looking forward to getting back to doing. 

In a statement today, Agoda said through the survey, travel is on the agenda for 34 per cent of folks with almost half of Malaysians (48 per cent) citing plans to travel by early 2022.

INFORMA MARKETS MALAYSIA, the organiser of LabAsia 2021 said it has taken the decision to transition the 2021 event into a virtual exhibition.

In a statement today, the organiser added that the next edition of the biennial live event will take place from Oct 10 to 12, 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

The event was originally scheduled to take place from Oct 20 to 22 at the same location this year.
