SCIB'S UNIT ACCEPTS RM138.5 MLN EPCC CONTRACT
KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 -- Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd’s (SCIB) subsidiary, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn Bhd (SIBS) and Sasoakai Resources Sdn Bhd has accepted an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM138.5 million.
Sasoakai Resources is a joint-venture (JV) partner of SIBS, SCIB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
On Feb 5, 2021, it said the parties entered into a JV agreement concerning the maintenance of roadworks contract in the state of Terengganu on a concession basis for a tenure of five years from Aug 1, 2021, to July 31, 2026.
SCIB said the contract secured is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings over the duration of the contract.
