Telecommunication provider, DIGI TELECOMMUNICATIONS SDN BHD has launched a new and improved altHR super app and a HR Starter Kit to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and micro businesses in their transition to digital human resource.
“Introduced by Digi-X last year, altHR is a digital workforce management solution with features built for the current landscape such as paperless leave and expense management, digital sales kits, contactless time tracking and employee onboarding.
“This year sees the introduction of key features such as payroll, rostering, performance management and the ‘Ultimate HR Starter Kit for 2021’, a handbook that aims to help businesses further cultivate digital-ready employees,” the company said in a statement today.
KPMG today called for a more more legal impetus to combat brazen and callous ransomware attacks as cyberattacks are no longer just a business issue but have become a threat to national security.
Head of cyber Jaco Benadie said COVID-19 has changed the cyber threat landscape and stricter laws should be considered to enhance security against cyberattacks.
“The problem with cyberattacks such as ransomware is that these are essentially ‘borderless’ crimes.
“Most of these criminals cannot be held accountable for their actions if they are based in a different country from where the crime is committed without any law enforcement collaboration agreements in place,” he said in a statement.
Payment service provider GHL SYSTEMS BHD (GHL) has signed a commercial agreement with Flexiroam Ltd for the provision of secured cellular connectivity.
“Under the agreement, Flexiroam will be providing connectivity to GHL’s payment terminals deployed by GHL in Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand,” chief executive officer Sean Hesh said in a statement.
He said the contract has an initial term of two years, whereby GHL would pay a monthly fee at commercial rates for each terminal deployed.
