KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 -- Samsung Malaysia Electronics today announced a new initiative - ‘A Rising Star’ to inspire and unite Malaysian youths through passion in arts and music.
Samsung Malaysia Electronics chief marketing officer Elaine Soh said the campaign is aimed at bringing together youths in Malaysia through shared passion and appreciation for local art and music, while drawing forth the potential of youths and unite the people.
"Today, youths are the influencing trends we see in culture and these trends are conceived, inspired and created with their smartphones.
"Their drive to create never stops and Samsung's innovative technologies are the perfect companion for young people in Malaysia and around the world, encouraging them to channel their creativity and pursue their passions and dreams,” she said here today.
The campaign demonstrates Samsung Malaysia's commitment to enhance the local art and music industry by providing the avenue for youths to enjoy art and music as well as leveraging on the unique features of Galaxy A32, Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72.
Through this campaign, Samsung will mobilise a range of activities including a collaboration with Universal Music Malaysia, REXKL and local mural artists to inspire Malaysian youths.
At the event today, Universal Music Malaysia and Samsung also announced the launch of Raya-themed music video titled Raya, Raya, Raya by Malaysian girl group DOLLA.
Universal Music Malaysia managing director Kim Lim said they are honored to collaborate with Samsung for the music video release and this marked another milestone for DOLLA as the new local upcoming celebrities and for Universal Music Malaysia.
“It is definitely a great opportunity to work with a giant and established name like Samsung, with their great intention to support youth and arts in Malaysia,” she said.
Samsung is also launching DOLLA TikTok Challenge on May 1, and members of the public can participate by dancing to DOLLA's Raya song and stand a chance to win a total of nine units of brand new Samsung Galaxy A32 giveaways.
Meanwhile through the collaboration with local mural artists namely Orkibal, Lowkey and Bono Stellar, several iconic buildings across Kuala Lumpur were covered with bright murals that represent the culture of Malaysia.
The murals across the city serve as an inspiration to youths to always express their artistic creativity and passions with the world freely and spontaneously.
