SAPURA ENERGY SUBSIDIARIES SECURE CONTRACTS WORTH RM1 BLN

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 -- Sapura Energy Bhd’s engineering and construction wholly-owned subsidiaries have been awarded contracts with a combined value of RM1.0 billion.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Sapura Energy said Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd had secured a variation order from United Arab Emirates upstream oil and gas company, Mubadala Petroleum.

It includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) of gas and condensates mercury removal facilities for the Pegaga Gas Field Development project, offshore Sarawak. 

“The EPCIC is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2022,” said Sapura Energy.

Sapura Fabrication has also secured a contract from oil and gas exploration and production services company Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning for full field development (FFD) Phase 4A Facilities North Malay Basin, offshore Peninsular Malaysia, under a Petronas Frame Agreement – Package B. 

The contract also comprises the supply and maintenance of the total management system for Petronas' point of sales and automation systems at all applicable Petronas petrol stations for a duration of 18 months, effective Jan 1, 2021.

Meanwhile, Sapura Offshore has been awarded a work order for the Bakau non-associated gas (NAG) development project and Bayan gas redevelopment Phase 2 project, both offshore Sarawak, under the Pan Malaysia Transportation and Installation of Offshore Facilities 2021 Campaign by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd. 

The work order scope under the Bakau NAG development project includes mobilisation of spreads, project management, interfacing, transportation and installation, pre and post-survey, pre-commissioning of pipelines, removal of jacket anode, and other optional works as specified in the work order for 2021.

As for the Bayan gas redevelopment Phase 2 project, it involves project management, interfacing, transportation and installation, pre and post-survey, pre-commissioning of pipelines and other optional works as specified in the year’s work order.

The company also secured an optional scope of works for the engineering and construction of a wellhead platform for the Egret East project from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd. 

“The optional scope of works is for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a wellhead platform which includes loadout, sea fastening and post-installation hook-up and commissioning in the Egret East oil and gas field.

“The works are expected to be completed by the second quarter of the 2023 financial year,” said Sapura Energy.
