CENTEXS COMMERCIAL BECOMES GREENLEAF'S DISTRIBUTOR IN PENINSULA TO PROMOTE SARAWAK PRODUCTS

KUCHING, April 23 -- Centexs Commercial Sdn Bhd, a Sarawak government-owned company through its Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (Centexs) has become the main distributor for Greenleaf Food and Beverages Sdn Bhd (Greenleaf) in Peninsular Malaysia, to promote the state’s products.

Centexs Commercial general manager Shahren Yusri said the strategic partnership with Greenleaf, a home-grown company was in line with the state-owned GLC’s objective to promote Sarawak’s heritage and digital products.

“The hottest product from Greenleaf now is their Teh C Special and when we talk about Teh C Special, everyone knows that it is a product by Sarawakians,” he told a hybrid media conference here, where Greenleaf also launched its new drink, “Coffee Special”.

Within two weeks of being appointed as a distributor in Sarawak, Centexs Commercial through its network of agents and stockists had managed to sell over 30,000 units of the Teh C Special, boosting its confidence to lead in the distribution in the peninsula, according to Shahren. 

As the product has not been vastly marketed in the peninsula, he said Centexs Commercial would also welcome interested companies or individuals based there to become stockists, agents or dropship agents.

“They may contact Centexs Commercial via its hotline and WhatsApp at 013-8137608 or by dropping their messages at the company’s official Facebook page,” he said.

He said Centexs Commercial since its establishment two years ago had been promoting about 180 types of Sarawak products that ranged from food, beverages, crafts and even hand sanitisers.

Meanwhile, Greenleaf’s managing director Lester Ong said the Coffee Special and Teh C Special were among the 18 products of the company since its establishment, where each had carried Sarawak’s exquisite ingredients, in particular the Gula Apong (natural brown sugar obtained from nipah palm).
