KUALA LUMPUR, April 21-- Sunway Malls has recreated Hari Raya balik kampung scenes featuring various modes of transport or the kampung atmosphere at its seven outlets.
Shoppers at Sunway Pyramid, Selangor will be transported to a scene at a highway R&R; a traditional kampung at Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang; and an old town with vintage taxi at Sunway Big Box and Sunway Citrine Hub, Johor.
While at Sunway Putra Mall, Kuala Lumpur there is a railway station scene; in Sunway Giza, Selangor there is a traditional Raya house; and in Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur there is a jetty and fishing village.
“This past year has made us relook what it means to bond with family and friends, and also rethink how we celebrate our respective festivities.
“Sunway Malls would like to welcome one and all to celebrate a meaningful Raya by reminding that home is where the heart is, no matter where we are,” said Sunway Malls and Theme Parks chief executive officer, HC Chan, in a statement.
Sunway Malls has also partnered with Woman Up by Kloth Cares to help families in need this Hari Raya. Shoppers can donate by purchasing an Upcycled Raya Pouch.
The donation drive is in line with Sunway Group’s support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to reduce poverty, end hunger, promote sustainable production and combat inequality.
Sunway Group and Sunway Malls will also be spreading Hari Raya cheer to four orphanages in Selangor through vouchers to buy new outfits.
The Sunway Malls ‘Ikatan Mesra Raya’ campaign runs till the end of May 2021.
