KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 -- Serba Dinamik Group Bhd, through its cybersecurity arm, is offering a convergence digital platform that focuses on cybersecurity and digital privacy services known as the E-Security and Privacy Channel (ESPC).

Senior vice president (cybersecurity), Assoc Prof Col (R) Datuk Ts Dr Husin Jazri, said ESPC is aimed at providing a one-stop centre for all cybersecurity and privacy needs, cradle to heaven, and assisting as many customers as possible in Malaysia and internationally.

He said the ESPC digital platform, which has operated since June 1 last year, has many strategic service components that interact with each other seamlessly under one digital platform at https://www.espc2go.com.

“Its strategic components cover online media and journalism services, Cyclorama Green & Blue Lighting Production Studio services, Screen Mirroring LED studio web-streaming services, life-long learning and education services, business and marketplace, Communities Engagements services and Research & Development for Commercialisation services,” he said in an exclusive interview with Bernama.

Husin, who is also ESPC chief editor, said to date, the one-stop digital platform has more than 30 strategic partners locally and overseas, and they operate actively in two other countries, namely Australia and Indonesia.

Meanwhile, in an effort to provide a backbone to ESPC's open life-long education in cybersecurity and privacy, Husin said, the company is working closely with University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY), which is a primary strategic partner for the ESPC digital platform.

“In the area of education, ESPC is working towards becoming a strong virtual reality university for cybersecurity and privacy in collaboration with UNIMY and relevant industry strategic partners,” he said.

To achieve this purpose, he said that Block 13 of UNIMY will house some of ESPC’s advance technology and services such as cyber ranges training and simulation centre, security operation centre, digital forensics services, malware analysis services, children online and protection services, and digital studios for advanced virtualisation.

According to him, the facilities, to be completed in about two months, will benefit UNIMY students through ESPC services and provide great opportunities for them to get involved in real-life projects under close supervision.

“Once they get involved in ESPC activities, they become part of our ESPC families, even after graduation. ESPC will be a good companion for life, in their cybersecurity and privacy-related career undertakings.

“Serba Dinamik and UNIMY can work together in a seamless ecosystem, where new talents in UNIMY can be groomed to take up a real-life challenge through experiential learning and hands-on experience at Serba Dinamik cybersecurity facilities and other relevant computing and engineering facilities in Cyberjaya,” he said.

Husin said the opportunity to get involved in the ESPC digital platform and projects is not limited to cybersecurity students but is also extended to students from the digital creative and interactive design school, business school and engineering school, among others.

He highlighted that the cybersecurity facilities provided by Serba Dinamik in Cyberjaya would, over time, further enhance the value of UNIMY graduates and make the educational programmes at the university more interesting and relevant to the engineering and computer science needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0).

Husin said it is important that UNIMY cybersecurity students make an effort to get hands-on and practical experiences as much as they could to be competent and marketable.

“Participating in a cybersecurity competition, community services, real-life involvement in setting up a startup business and NGOs (non-governmental organisations), among others, is key to job opportunities. Salaries will vary according to the importance of their role in the marketplace.

“The good news is job demand for cybersecurity professionals is higher than the supply side, and the global workplace can be their chance if these graduates are proven to be very hands-on with positive attitudes,” he said.
