JEIWA GLOBAL RESOURCES TO EXPAND TO UK NEXT YEAR

JOHOR BAHRU, Mac 2 -- Social enterprise company, JEiWA Global Resources, the marketer of premium handcrafted tiffin carrier brand, Tiffin Jeiwa, is eyeing to expand its business to London, United Kingdom next year.

Its founder, Nor Fadilah Mohamed Nizar said the market for Tiffin Jeiwa’s exclusive hand-painted tiffin carriers has the potential and opportunity to be expanded.

The product has gained fans in London, and has also received encouraging demand from countries such as Singapore, Brunei, Russia, Indonesia, France, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Denmark and the Netherlands.

According to Nor Fadilah, Tiffin Jeiwa has fans from all walks of life, especially among dignitaries who seek to purchase tiffin carriers as gifts and decorations, and the tiffin carriers are also being used and sold in hotels such as the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and Suasana Suites.

"Following discussions with several ministries, we aim to expand to London because of the existing market opportunities.

"Europeans seem to be fond of traditional and eco-friendly products, so there is an opportunity to take Malaysian products to the next level,” she told Bernama in an exclusive interview recently.

The handpainted products designed by Nor Fadilah features Malaysian elements and characteristics such as flowers, batik, songket, Baba Nyonya as well as Chinoiserie elements, which takes about four months to produce.

She said Tiffin Jeiwa’s tiffin carrier is also an environmentally-friendly product because it is lead-free, uses non-toxic permanent colours and made with stainless steel, suitable for daily washing and use.

Nor Fadilah said from the initial sales of 30 pieces when it first started in 2018, the company now receive orders for about 1,000 pieces of Tiffin Jeiwa’s tiffin carriers per month.

Aside from the tiffin carrier, the company also plans to offer locally-made herbal products, spices, kitchenware, accessories and fragrances, to be specially crafted for the international market.

She said JEiWA Global Resources has one branch in Johor Bahru's Paradigm Mall, and another in Suria KLCC.

Moving forward, the company plans to open its third branch at the Malaysia Grand Bazaar, Bukit Bintang City Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The company is also working with local strategic partners such as Karyaneka (Jalan Conlay), Destination Good (Chinatown), Pakat (Miri), Perak Woman For Women Shop (Ipoh), Tenggek Burung Cafe (Keramat), and  Dubai’s Christolite.
