INFORMA MARKETS: ASEAN SUPER 8, ICW RESCHEDULED TO NOV 9-11

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 -- Southeast Asia’s trade show for built environment, ASEAN Super 8 by Informa Markets has been rescheduled to Nov 9 -11 from the original June 2021.

In addition, the International Construction Week (ICW) hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) will be moved to the same date in November.

As the organiser, Informa Markets will also continue to closely monitor developments of COVID-19 and will provide timely communication.

“We believe the revised new dates will allow more time for normality and confidence to return to the marketplace and provide all-round better conditions for exhibitors and visitors to engage,” Informa Markets Malaysia country general manager Gerard Leeuwenburgh said in a statement today.

He added that this year’s edition of ASEAN Super 8 will adopt a hybrid format complementing the physical exhibition, which include face-to-face and virtual exhibition, conferences, webinar, business matching and networking activities.  

CIDB chief executive Datuk Ahmad ‘Asri Abdul Hamid said the hybrid ICW format was conceived following the success of the ASEAN Super 8 Virtual Connect Exhibition launched in November 2020. 

“We are working closely with Informa Markets, industry stakeholders and the relevant government agencies, and are committed to supporting the entire construction industry and the continued success of ICW and ASEAN Super 8,” he said.

ASEAN Super 8 features niche expositions namely ASEAN M&E, a dedicated mechanical and electrical engineering show, TENAGA Expo (power), ASEAN Lift (manufacturing), ASEAN Solar, ASEAN Light, Refrigeration, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (REVAC Expo), Futurebuild SEA (Southeast Asia) (construction), Heavy Mach (heavy equipment) and the security, fire and safety portfolio show, IFSEC Southeast Asia.

ASEAN Super 8 has also launched its first and unique digital platform.

Via the ASEAN M&E Traders Connect, Futurebuild SEA Traders Connect and IFSEC Cyber Hub, companies can have their very-own listings and showcase their latest product offerings virtually to a global audience.
