INSKEN'S COACHING PROGRAMME HELPS PARTICIPANTS BOOST SALES BY 29 PCT ON AVERAGE
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 -- Participants of the National Institute of Entrepreneurship's (Insken) Online Onboarding Coaching Programme (E-Board) Cohort 1 recorded an outstanding 29 per cent increase in average sales.
The agency, which is under the purview of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC), said 209 entrepreneurs completed this four-month coaching programme, which ended last November, and a virtual graduation ceremony had been held to celebrate their success.
Currently, the second cohort of E-Board is ongoing with a total of 250 entrepreneurs while E-Board Cohort 3, targeted to begin in mid-February, is open for registration, it said in a statement today.
MEDAC minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said Insken has assisted micro and informal entrepreneurs to revive affected businesses, emphasising on providing guidance to sustain their businesses through digitalisation.
“This is not an easy task. Entrepreneurs from these categories not only need to be trained but also require guidance in a more holistic manner and be closely monitored to ensure that the business scale and skills can be improved as there are various challenges that lie ahead,” he said.
Wan Junaidi added that Insken’s “hand-holding” approach, instilled in its coaching programmes including E-Board, should be implemented more in any entrepreneur development initiatives and programmes.
