KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 -- The offices of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) and the Malaysia Expatriate Talent Service Centre (MYXpats) will be temporarily closed for the duration of the Movement Control Order (MCO) reinstatement in five states and federal territories from tomorrow until Jan 26.
TalentCorp said in a statement today that MYXpats would also be closed today to facilitate COVID-19 sanitation work on its premises.
"This is following an employee of MYXpats testing positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The relevant authorities have been notified while updates regarding the recommencement of MYXpats counter services will be shared with the public as soon as possible.
"Precautionary steps are also being taken to safeguard the health and well-being of our staff, customers and the community as TalentCorp and MYXpats staff will work from home effective tomorrow (Jan 13).
"Physical meetings and appointments with stakeholders will be postponed until further notice or, where possible, rescheduled to phone or virtual meetings," they said.
TalentCorp said although customers could expect some disruptions to the corporation’s general phone lines and call centres at this time, TalentCorp and MYXpats Centre email help desks would remain operational in the interim.
"TalentCorp and MYXpats will return to full capacity once it is safe to do so, and we look forward to continuing to serve our stakeholders as effectively as possible," they said.
