MYEG GETS ONLINE PAYMENT SYSTEM PROJECT FROM HEALTH MINISTRY

08/10/2020 10:33 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 -- MY EG Services Bhd (MYEG) received a letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Health today for an online payment system project which will enable travellers to register and make payment on arrival for COVID-19 screening tests and quarantine charges at all entry points.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the electronic government services provider said the project has a two-year tenure, effective Nov 1, 2020.

“The system facilitates the implementation of government measures to control the outbreak by expediting the process of administering COVID-19 screening and designating quarantine locations for locals and foreign visitors arriving in Malaysia.

“The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020, onwards,” it said.

MYEG added that the project has no fixed value as it is dependent on the number of transactions and the service options selected by users.
