KSK IMPLEMENTS AGILE FRAMEWORK IN QUICK RESPONSE TO CHANGE

30/09/2020 09:03 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 -- KSK Group Bhd has implemented the 'Agile' framework to enable the company to be nimble and able to respond to changes quickly and effectively to maintain long-term health survival despite the inevitable economic, social and environmental changes.

KSK Land chief executive officer and managing director Joanne Kua said with the Agile methodology in place, the COVID-19 has given an opportunity to the company to test the system and experience the transformation in the team.

KSK Land, one of Malaysia's leading lifestyle property developers, is a wholly owned subsidiary of KSK Group Bhd.

“We believe we are the first property developer (KSK Land) to adopt the Agile system. To us, this is how we have stayed ahead of the curve and it is a key component of our efforts to maintain long-term sustainability,” she said at a panel discussion titled ‘Recognising Opportunities in Adversity’ here, today.

Kua said entreprenuers must learn how, when and where to allocate and reduce their capital and maximise returns, especially during a crisis.

She stressed that it is important to recognise when entrepreneurs need to pivot their business and what will help the company achieve not just short-term goals, but also growth in the middle and long term.

Kua also shared that the company has implemented the 4C’s to help the company stay on track.

This includes cash-flow perseverance and cost consciousness as a defensive mechanism as businesses need to recognise cost implications and values.

On capabilities, she said how entrepreneurs can interact better within their team members and whether to upskill or reskill, and even collaborate in new technology tools are pertinent.

“I think that is important because whenever a crisis hit, everybody tries to look outside and not inside, and you need to have a stable ship,” he said.

She noted that confidence restoration where communication is usually taken for granted is also crucial to ensure that it is being done in a more transparent manner.

Besides the importance of providing financial support, she said mentorship and coaching, as well as technical support, KSK Land is also running a technology accelerator programme in the food and beverage (F&B) space called the Platter Accelerator Programme.

The programme is aimed at guiding restaurateurs in developing a sustainable and profitable business in the long run.

The programme, which will be held in a coveted space in Platter, is part of KSK Land’s maiden 8 Conlay development, which is set to be a landmark of design, innovation and collaboration in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
