MCT TO LAUNCH NEW PROJECTS THIS YEAR

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23  -- MCT Bhd (MCT) expects 2020 to be a record year for the group in terms of project handovers, with over 3,000 residential units involving four development projects set to be delivered to homeowners.

The projects are the Selangorku PR1MA Lakefront Homes and Lakefront Residence Phase 2 in Lakefront @ Cyberjaya, as well as Casa Bluebell and Casa Wood in Cybersouth, with a combined gross development value (GDV) of RM1.2 billion.

In a statement today, chief executive officer (CEO) Teh Heng Chong said the company has successfully delivered two projects, with another two scheduled for handover soon.

“The group will remain focused on the affordable to mid-tier residential market in the Greater Klang Valley Region with a high population catchment, where transport links and public facilities are well provided for.

"We also intend to spread our portfolio of developments to various growth corridors, expanding from our existing base in Cyberjaya and Cybersouth,” he said.

Meanwhile, Teh said the group plans to launch four new projects this year with a combined GDV of RM1 billion.

Moving forward, the company’s business strategies include shifting its operating model, strengthening human capital, improving systems and processes, investing in innovation and adopting customer-centric policies.

MCT is also set to reap steady gains from its healthy landbank from ongoing and upcoming developments in new and different locations, it said, adding that of its 128.41 hectares (ha) of landbank, 104.61 ha has been allocated for future developments.

The company is also set to generate GDV of approximately RM12.6 billion from on-going and future developments that will help secure its revenue stream, it added.
