KLANG, Sept 16 -- GM Klang Wholesale City today launched the #KasiSupportBaranganTempatanLah campaign to help improve the economy while the country is tackling the spread of COVID-19.
Its advertising & promotions manager, Norsuhaida Othman said this campaign was among the efforts by GM Klang to encourage consumers to choose local brands and buy local products, besides indirectly instilling love for the country among them.
She said it was also a mark of support for the Buy Malaysian Products campaign as advocated by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.
"In line with this campaign, we are also promoting the local traders here as we have specially created trade slots for them,” she told reporters after the campaign launch, here, today.
Norsuhaida said the campaign from Aug 31 to Sept 30 also offered patrons, the opportunity to win a shopping incentive of RM300 per person, where they first need to get an exclusive cap at RM5 at the complex’s customer service centre.
"Then they should take a selfie with the cap at any interesting spot around GM Klang and upload the photo to their social media page and with the GM Klang and #supportbarangantempatan tags.
"Ten winners will be announced by us in October,” said Norsuhaida, who also handed over the August lucky draw prize of a RM1,000 GM Klang shopping voucher to each of the five winners.
She said the lucky draw programme would continue until December and to participate in it, shoppers only need to spend RM100 at any of the shops in the complex.
