KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 -- Bank Rakyat will implement a digital transformation process to a new Core Banking system (Core Banking, CoBRa) to upgrade and elevate the quality of its banking operations.
Chief executive officer Datuk Rosman Mohamed said CoBRa is one of the bank's pilot projects towards digital banking to enable customers to enjoy the best banking experience through improvement in high-scale automation system.
"The initiative also aimed to increase the security features and meets the needs of new supervision framework, besides enhancing financial innovation as well as drive Malaysia's digital banking transformation,” he said in a statement.
The CoBRa system upgrading process will start from Friday, Oct 9, 2020, at 4pm till Monday, Oct 12, 2020 at 12pm.
As such, customers are advised to plan their banking transactions before the service disruption period as scheduled.
