TAIWAN’S AI SOLUTIONS, CYBER SECURITY PRODUCTS FLOURISHING - BOFT

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 -- The Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and cyber security are two of the six core strategic industries which are important parts of Taiwan’s industrial development policy, according to Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT).

Its director Cynthia Kiang said rapid responsive solutions such as the ‘eMask App’ proves that the country has the capability and potential to provide the best software and hardware products for industries.

“Taiwan has a solid foundation in its information and communications technology (ICT) and semiconductor industries,” she said during a livestream press conference.

The event is one of ‘Taiwan Excellence’ initiatives, an international promotional campaign run by the BOFT and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, showcasing Taiwan’s breakthrough solutions in AI and cyber security. 

Six Taiwanese ICT companies also participated in the event which generated excitement and buzz with the unveiling of their latest products.

The companies are iEi, Tatung System Technologies Inc. (TSTi), Zyxel Networks Corporation, The Syscom Group, BankPro e-Service Technology Co Ltd and LaFresh Information Co Ltd. 

Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure business solutions, showcased USG FLEX, a new series of mid-range firewalls designed for small and medium-sized businesses to keep up with workplace mobility, connectivity and security requirements post-pandemic.

Meanwhile, LaFresh provides software systems such as kiosk, tablet, online ordering, multiple mobile payment methods and other applications of cloud services as well as Internet of Things device integration.

The company is currently expanding its business scope to the AI field as well.
